This artwork represents the stolen childhood of those in war, stolen from youth soldiering to fight terror as well as the local children. The fortress above represents Forward Operating Base Nolay. Above that, in blue, is the Helmand River. The Kite, a toy that was generally prohibited in Afghanistan under the Taliban, represents stolen childhood of the Afghanistan youth by war and by the fanaticism.

The artwork was featured on display at the CreatiVets Exhibit.
